A friend heard a song I did a little while back and she said she liked my voice saying, "I wish I had you here to sing me to sleep." Well I thought about that - no reason I can't - I can record something. Naturally you sing people to sleep with lullabies and the first song I thought of is below because it says "Sing me to sleep." So this is the first of maybe several - we'll see.
So this is an old Smiths song which I'm not sure I improved on, but at least it's a little peppier - for a song about suicide. sheesh First of the lullabies.
You're trapped in a (temporarily) out of order elevator - who would you like to be trapped with?

Someone who would want to at least make out with me I suppose... :o)
Is this thing on? Are we using this anymore?
What do you collect?
I here's one I can answer. I collect flutes. Mostly indigenous wood flutes. I have them from South America, India, the Middle east and Native American flutes. I should really get a Japanese flute. I do play most of them.
What I do have from japan is a bunch of guitar picks my brother gave
me. Then this summer when I was in Santa Fe I bought a silver one with
Kokapeli stamped on it. So it looks like I collect picks now too. :)
What books are on your nightstand?
I can't read in bed, I fall asleep too easily. My current books are Passionate Declarations by Howard Zinn (a reissue of possibly my favorite political book of all time Declarations of Independence) and Bushworld by Maureen Dowd. Bushworld is a series of articles by Dowd from the Times about the Bush family. Duh.
I just finished A Man Without A Country by Kurt Vonnegut. That was excellent. He's funny in a goofy way and also insightful. Highly recommended. :)
Tell us a little something about your first car. Do you have any photos you can share?

It
was great - a 1975 orange Honda Civic 2 door. It was great because if
you ever locked your keys in the car you could easily retrieve them by
using a penny in the keyhole. It finally died when it lost it's cv
joints. It was like driving a bucking bronco. :)
When was the last time you had to speak in front of a group? How did you feel?
I
do it all the time, concerts, meetings etc. I'm usually quite shy in
small groups and even one on one at times, but in front of a lot of
people I'm fine. I've made speeches at rallies and perfomed in front of
hundreds of people. And it doesn't faze me as long as I know what to
say - that's the key.
How well do you know your next-door neighbors?
Not
well to be honest. We ate dinner at one of their houses once and we see
them and talk outside, but we don't know anything about them. We're
just friendly.
